5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita, Western San Gabriel Mountains/Highway 14 Corridor and Eastern San Gabriel Mountains are the focus of an updated winter weather advisory released at 3:38 a.m. on Saturday by the National Weather Service. The advisory is valid between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.
The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA adds to anticipate, “Snow levels will be between 4500 and 5500 feet. Total snow accumulations 4 to 8 inches above 5500 feet and 2 to 5 inches between 4500 and 5500 feet. Winds will gusts to between 35 and 45 mph.”
“Plan on slippery road conditions,” the NWS said. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.”
